Was Gossamer written after Zeitgeist though?

These are so good! God damn Billy you stupid piece of shit. How do you write so many amazing songs and then absolutely ruin them in the studio or fail to release them?

Superchrist should've been on Zeitgeist. I think it works as a great opener to the album.
I wouldn't mind a vocal mix/remaster.

Superchrist sounds way too much like a retread of Silverfuck to have been on an album. I still think Doomsday Clock is a banger of an opener, it just needed a not shitty mix. That drum intro and riff slams.

Zeitgeist is in desperate need of a Silverfuck. For me, Doomsday Clock works better as a track 2 after Superchrist.

Think it's the perfect opener.

Can't listen to Zeitgeist remastered until @djzap works his magic on Superchrist.

Always felt that place on Zeitgeist was taken by United States. Superchrist was always an extension of that.

But think of how good a follow up to Zeitgeist could've been, taking in things like Sunkissed and these tracks along the way.

BC: we have discussed recording Gossamer for Teargarden, but my guess is it probably won't happen as it is essentially seen by me as a Zeitgeist song. there is an aborted Zeitgeist sessions versions that is kinda cool, albeit rough and unfinished.

as for 99 floors/peace and love and others from that time there are live solo studio demo versions recorded in Sweden just after the SF residency. they sound really good and could easily be added to/overdubed. those would see the light of day when the inevitable Zeitgeist re-issue comes out. i get full rights back to Zwan/Future Embrace/Zeit in about 4 years Zwan would be first up. 60+ unreleased songs.

the 'plan' is to line up everything business wise so that EVERYTHING substantial and worthy of release would see the light of day. with old SP it of course revolves around EMI, the other Warner Brothers stuff is just a waiting game until the rights clear.

Really great job - and I'd suggest the intro riff to Gossamer and the chorus of FOL are easily 2 of the best things he's done this millennium.

The fact that I am enjoying FOL compared to Atum says it all.

I like it and the live performance posted here is great. But Zeitgeist already had that with United States. You can only “ride the D” with a droned out dropped D riff so much.
