Turbulence is certainty
Turbulence is friction between you and me Suffering and pain crystallized in a brain that recreates the process again Draws borders, cites laws Monopolies of food and trade start wars Every time we try to impose order we create chaos we create chaos - breakdown I have my doubts A state of eternal conflict is all I have found We build a wall that is made of tears Watch the house fall down And at the end of my life Yes at the end of my life All shall be well all is as it was always meant to be... Blessed are the meek it is written they shall inherit the earth Watch her dying of cancer after a lifetime of caring for the poor Child with her arms blown off screams as she bleeds upon the rocks Sickened by my self-flagellation but i don't know how to stop Where is your love, my loving god? - breakdown I have my doubts This base stand of filth and the people around We build a wall that is made of tears Watch the house fall down And at the end of my life Yes at the end of my life All shall be well all is as it was always meant to be... Globalism and the UN neutralized by ethnic cleansing Animal aggression and a mind to perceive this terminal conflict Awareness is a curse - the more you open your eyes the more you despise Fashioned in the creator's yolk It must be some sort of practical joke And in the corn, circles of chaos - breakdown |

They opened for Tool and the mix was atrocious
And I think you’re overrating their studio output a bit; they tend to be very repetitive and tonally narrow (like most of Marilyn Manson’s music). I mean, they’re fine for what they do I guess. |

The show I saw in 2012 remains the absolute best I've ever seen in my life. They're not a stadium band
Walking with Gods is repetitive as fuck but I still love it Overrated is impossible here, they do not get enough love No Eighties no Come As You Are |

Small club is on drugs? When did this happen?
We should do an intervention. |

in fact you can't go wrong with Industrial as long as it isn't Skinny Puppy, Ministry, or Killing Joke

I think literally the only thing Elph has ever posted that I've agreed with him on is Fad Gadget
the last thing he posted that I listened to was Scars and it was basically the same song six times over or something Cabaret Voltaire is boring as shit regardless of period I coudl take or leave Gristle, mostly leave Anyway enough of his troll attempts |

Scars is a great coldwave band
it's a feature of the genre that the songs are samey generally...but it's actually not even that much the case for Scars take or leave Throbbing Gristle makes no sense to me if you actually like Industrial you know, the band that makes the word mean anything don't give me something about popularity, TG is the premier Industrial act |

Closer to Ministry. They basically started out post-punk, kinda moved into industrial rock over a very long period. Dipped into new wave through the mid-eighties, were forced to re-brand the lead singer's abysmal solo album as a KJ album. Nearly killed the band. They went away for a while, slowly came back through the 90's as an actual industrial rock act. Went full industrial metal with their self-titled in 2003 which blew everyone the fuck away. Most every album is worth checking out, just stay the fuck away from Outside The Gate. Recommend the 1980 self-titled, Night Time, Pandemonium, Democracy, the 2003 self-titled and Hosannas From The Basements of Hell in particular.

And if you need further evidence that Elph is hilarious, behold another example of his well-established "lol metal" attitude of his as a proud industrial fan which has led him to try and derail this entire thread.
Actually bringing up Throbbing Gristle as a viable alternative to Killing Joke as if the music was in any fucking way similar Posting eighteen minutes of farting into a mic checks out |

need to water it down for consumption first
add metal to it so the dunderhead jocks in a different uniform can get in on it don't bother with anything clever or subversive, don't push boundaries |

Industrial rock is not industrial and I don't know why you're even bothering to try and make this comparison. Narcissism?
Oh that's right Accessible means bad to you I could throw a cinder block down a rusted ventilation shaft, put a rabbit on an old Korg, mumble three sentences over it about a dolphin contracting herpes, record the whole thing and you'd praise it as "authentic". Let's be real, you'd be shitting on Reznor for ripping off Dig It in 1988 if Skinny Puppy had never made music videos Why you gotta be the guy that can't just let people enjoy things |
