Sure do - when this showed up a few years ago, I saved that baby because yes, this show rocks.

My favorite moment is that tandem BC/JI solo during Ava Adore at the 39:20 mark when Billy gives him that little hand gesture like "this, it's time" then they do that awesome tandem solo that is like Metallica-esque. I'm way into it.

Other thoughts:

1.) That end of HMM around the 20:30 mark is white hot.

2.) Love how that slides righttttt into that rad version of Zero. Billy was INTO that vocal performance.

3.) And from that chaos into one of those awesome 99/00 To Sheila versions... phew. Chef's kiss there.

4.) Both Wound AND Age of Innosence, which are two songs that really represent the best of Machina to me at this point, 21 years out.

5.) Great spacey outro to CTOM around that 58 mark. And a bonus excellent shot of that security guy passing around sips of water. Remember how good sips of water like that tasted in the middle of a show? Sometimes I think those saved my life.

6.) And realizing at this point that I don't think I've ever watched the back 1/3 of this show, which appears to be a grave error, because it seems to have some great gems buried in there... that XYU looks spicy.

is this the only pro recording of live CTOM?

I've always had a soft spot for that song, particularly the live version.

is part of the reason she sounds bad cause they have to play shit in like drop C?

~~~
metro gig thots
- this is shot and mixed so well
- love james' raygun holster on his mic stand
- corgan has that same blue effects switcher thing he had for the 93 SD release shows
- band sounds kind of awkward on age of innocence. this is i guess one of the first few times they've played it live. plus it's a pretty dry SBD. corgan points to everyone in turn before HMM, like 'are you ready'
- monster jim fill at 10:55
- i like the all black costumes more than what they became. it's kinda cool in the whole 'fake rock star persona' thing cause generally stagehands wear all black to blend in. and corgan [or corgan's character] is...trying to disappear or some shit, you know
- the fucking mosh pit at the end of HMM!! fucking hell so cool, they need to play small clubs again
- this version of to sheila should've been played more. it is absolutely beautiful, the definition of ethereal. there is one (1) person holding up a lighter. 31:05 corgan nods to jim telling him to end the song
- corgan seems really into the gig. i love when he makes little 'ohh' or 'yeah' interjections during songs - sounds so badass
- wound was absolutely underplayed on the machina tour [and beyond]. james is using a capo on it! this is a dumb probably insignificant thing but i could've sworn they never used capos live for anything until 2007
- arising era Ava adore rocks so fucking hard with the intro riffing. the 'drinking mercury' bridge section is peak pumpkins. the twin solo is an incredible early christmas present
- love when corgan *stares* at somebody in the crowd when playing a difficult part
- jim's FACE during the i am one rant. he's just like...well i guess i can use this as a chop-out exercise
- "Do not let the negative barrage of the internet and the magazines, the radio, the TV penetrate your very soul." hey what's up bill
- melissa has a music stand with notes
- rock on is bad and it never stops being bad or starts being good. imagine being sweaty and tired in the audience having to stand thru this
- 1:07:53 JIMMY
- i of the mourning sections with clean guitars sound gorgeous. i feel like there's way more reverb that usual? the song overall feels like it's played in a much more dreamy way versus the heavier versions later on
- lol @ corgan's face when he fucks up a note in the cherub solo
- enjoying the all taylor acoustic setup. so cozy how they're all sitting so close. JC steals a pick from bill's mic stand. enjoying hearing presumably jimmy hitting wrong notes
- the shot of JC from the guy standing behind the drums was woefully underutilized. poor guy had to have a 1990s camera wrecking his shoulder and back and not even get in the final cut that much
- look at bill and jim have a good time around 1h49m
- he's got the wah foot from hell
- disappointed learning that the little jam they ostensibly wrote in japan when james was sick and corgan was being a dick was just this song they've been playing since before the tour started. does anyone want to hear this bullshit if it's rehearsed? that makes it even more wanky and dumb
blue thing is the rocktron all access. he started using it during the machina era (possibly adore, though i've never seen a good shot of his setup)
If she's playing in drop-C the whole concert, yeah, that's very possible. It has the same wet-fart noise of a bass guitar string wound too loosely, so that would make sense.
I think it's weird to learn an entire suite of songs in a drop-tuning that's only used on (IIRC) TEG and HMM, but I guess it's possible that's what happened.
oh fuck me i am ashamed. the memory i have of the blue thing that i was accessing was from some guitar interview on YouTube from the [shudder] oceania era
i was confusing metro/metro with HD video/HD video
The best part is Billy and James right before We Love You, with James improv soloing with the ray gun while Billy provided commentary.
