Default United States Lyrics

I've been listening to the Paris and Brussels bootlegs heaps and I want to know the lyrics to United States. This is what I can gather so far. If you think I'm wrong, tell me. If you think you know what the missing parts are (indicated by ............) , also tell me.

.....................
Lost for days
There's no big rent
Because there's no place
I don't know what I believe
But if I feel safe
Would you?
I need
A home
A home
A home

Revolution
Revolution
Revolution blues
What will they do

Revolution
Revolution
Revolution blues
What will they do to me
What will they do to me
What will they do to me
What will they do to me

......................
Whisper then
The futures goes
Right nows the past
Arouse the soul
The end draws nigh
Inside I keep warm
The blood you can not buy

Revolution
Revolution
Revolution blues
What will they do to me

Revolution
Revolution
Revolution blues
What will they do

(After Solo)

Well I
I feel alright
So tonight
I got to ask you all
I wanna know
I'm so surprised
I guess you survived

...............
...............
...............
I'm scared to know more

I wanna fight
I wanna fight a
Revolution
Tonight

I wanna fight
I wanna fight a
Revolution
Tonight
At the line
At the line

Do you wanna watch me burn
Let me do something good
Let me prove something real, I think I should
Let me embrace every single one
Let me be embrace single..........
........people
Misunderstood

you should check out the Pinkpop recording too, i think it has some of the clearest vocals so far.

my suggestions:

dry your eyes, closed for days
there's no regret, 'cause there's no place
where i don't know what i believe
but if i feel safe, what do i need
a home

revolution, revolution, revolution blues
what will they do to me

dulcet tones whisper fast
refuse your yearns, renounce the past
rouse me soon, the end draws nigh
whose side are you on
your blood you cannot buy

revolution, revolution, revolution blues
what will they do to you

well i, i feel alright
so tonight i got to ask you why
why did i
it's no surprise
i get to survive
ow

bring out your light, i'll help
i'll lay the last child to bed
say the last rites
i don't have to run scared no more

but i want to fight, i want to fight
a revolution tonight
at the light, at the light
do you wanna watch me burn

let me do something good
let me prove something real like i should
let me embrace every single living thing
let me embrace every single moment i ever misunderstood

let's not get ahead of ourselves. my Tarantula lyrics were better than Billy's too, as it turned out.

yeah right

this comes from a man who is keeping in prison some stupid young kids for publishing a couple of really crappy pictures (artwork) from the new album... how could he get more capitalist ?

BILLY, SHUT UP, DON'T BE POLITICAL, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT

But then again maybe he lives in the past right now. you know during the revolutionary days of the 18th century

i think Blues is Looms...that's just the way it sounds to me. "Revolution looms, what will they do to me?"

That sounds much better than "blues."

But as TCM said, let's not get ahead of ourselves.

They might just suck in the end.

isn't it funny how everyone can hear the same song and hear different words all around in corgan voice? Maybe we're all just looking for what we want to hear in them.

it was clear enough once we got past the 30-second clip that he wasn't singing about some gay messiah.

I hope TCM's lyrics are the right ones. Those are leaps and bounds above anything I expected, right up there with some of my favourites.

Still trying to reserve judgment for the official release. I don't want to get too excited only to be let down.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I just listened to the song again and I'm sure TCM is way more accurate. Now I think it's time to search for that pinkpop recording.

Cheers
