I really think this is the most exciting metal genre right now. The nerdy Norweigan kvlt chuds don't like that the genre is no longer just corpse paint and repetition, but the old stuff slaps too...just like the new stuff.

Pretty interesting how a lot of bands are doing the crescendo-core blackgaze thing to give their music a sense of scale and happiness...even amongst the noise and screaming.

Agriculture (horrific band name) has a self-titled album I just found that is immense and gorgeous.

Of course there is plenty of kvlt newer stuff like Lamp of Murmurr, but damn this genre is good af right now
