new Bruce Springsteen is Magic
This album is so good, I heard the first track online today and went right out to the record store to pick it up.
Something about it makes me wana read On The Road by Jack Keroac. ...or Dharma Bums. ...you know, it makes me think of Keroac. |

It does remind me of old Bruce but I'm not sure if I like it yet. I'm still letting it wear on me.

I know this doesn't matter, but Rolling Stone gave the album a 5 star rating.

The last relative thing I remember seeing from them was when they praised David Gilmour's album last year. But that could have been Q mag |

as i recall that album got only 3 & 1/2 stars. i tried to look it up on the website but they don't have the review online anymore. and the new bruce is pretty cool. I streamed the whole thing yesterday. i plan to buy it this weekend. |

I do love Springsteen.
I've got a rip of this album but I've only listened to the first two tracks. Sonically, they sound very similar to The Rising. I'm not really sure what I want out of the Boss these days but I'm not sure if this is it. |

Err...someone want to tell me where to start with Bruce Springsteen? I've always felt like I'm missing out on something kind of important.

The Wild, the Innocent, and the E Street Shuffle, Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River, Nebraska, Born In The USA and Tunnel of Love are all fantastic. There's still a few I haven't heard yet, mostly the ones from the 90's everyone hates. |

I just got it and I'm pleasantly surprised. I haven't really liked a lot of Bruce's more recent albums, but this one harkens back to his late 70's/early 80's style - not neccesarily in the beat or melody of every song, but more in the soul of it.
It's actually got some soul to it again for once. |
