For me, love addiction seems like the most confusing thing to navigate. How do you know the difference between real love and addictive behavior? I understand the sex addiction part, but not the love addiction part.

Love in and of itself is sort of obsessive and compulsive, ya know? How can you be engaging in that inappropriately vs something where you know you're either overdoing it (video games, binge eating, exercise) and/or being completely reckless (sex, drugs/drinking, gambling). Like where's the line?

I have no goddamn idea. Honestly I think I'm more addicted to infatuation than actual love at this point. Relationships always seem the best in the beginning when shit is exciting and sexy and then everything gets hard. It's especially discouraging to see all my friends getting married and I'm like do I even want that? Who is down tf?

I didn't read all of them, but mine basically said that I strongly desire intimacy but am afraid my partner doesn't actually love me, while at the same time I'm cold and can't open up to my partner/don't trust them to emotionally take care of me, so I am simultaneously clingy and distant. It literally said that these are the worst aspects of the other 2 insecure attachment styles combined. The good news is that I'm a super rare type! I'll just continue staying single for a while, yikes.

Right, I don't do any of those things, because I don't engage with people that (emotionally) deeply to begin with (generally, but especially romantically. there are some non-romantic rare moments). I think I probably would be like that, if I did. But I don't really know. It is getting a little old living this way, though.

Dude, you have no idea how delusional he is about the whole thing. I had to block him because he was insistent I had something against him and his theory was groundbreaking and I was just too biased against him to see it. He's probably still sending me emails. He sent me his entire "theory" which was in a .txt document and is just as terrible as you'd imagine.

My fault, at first I thought he was young and it was like 10 years ago and I tried to gently tell him his ideas were shit because hey, if he was like in high school it might have been an OK project to just figure out how to write a decent test (which he never did) and stuff, even if the 'theory' was garbage. Then it became clear on the boards he's actually a psychopath and I told him to stop contacting me because he was getting pretty angry and trying to be intimidating (lol) until I finally had to block him completely. Once in a while he'll send me something from a different email address in an attempt to get me to see it. After a few years I finally replied and was like hey how are you, thinking he was trying to be friendly but he just wanted to talk about his test and was like "why did you think I'd email you?" and I was like IDK maybe to be a normal human and see how people are? At least before launching into the same crap you've been going on about for 10 years?

That's the last time I talked to him.
