It sounds like something from Oceania. And before anyone asks, it’s in the podcast. You can stream it on Spotify. It’s not that hard.

Yes. Best ATUM song so far. I’ve already said it in another thread, but it’s got Oceania vibes but you know with Jimmy. Epic. Sounds like pumpkins being the pumpkins.

So far we’ve got a song that sounds like it could have been on Oceania, one on cyr, one on shiny, and something similar to as Rome burns.

Thankfully that was 100% a Corgan solo and not Jeff. You can recognize that lead tone and vibrato instantly.

Yeah it’s not often I hear corgan going all wah wah, but that pinch harmonic at the end is a dead giveaway. I dig it.

I like it. Aside from the weird quiet bit that drops to nothing, not sure I'm feeling that. But I am totally down with this album so far though.

Not sure how I feel about the song. It has the pumpkins alternative hard rock signature, but just like One and All, it sounds formulaic.

Also, why are they making the drums sound so cold? Is it just me?

I think the drums sound better on this album than the last two. SoSB had such a terrible, compressed, papery drum sound. This sounds better overall.

The drums are marginally better sounding, the vocals while too high at least are somewhat more engaging, the solo is decent if not mind blowing, and the backing vocals are effective. The "we all shine on" (or whatever it is) part is the best part of it, the way it comes together at the end.

But... the overall production and mix is lifeless. Drums too loud / guitars too quiet for the most part. I know we're not dealing with shoegaze here but a bit more balance would've improved the whole thing.

You can tell it was recorded remotely - drums first, guitars next, etc. I know SD was recorded that way but it had a lot of analogue warmth. This sounds digital and lifeless.

Don't get me wrong, I hugely prefer it to Cyr or Shiny. But this album is gonna be a slog if it all sounds like this.

I really don’t like this track by track method of release. It really kills the anticipation of the album in my opinion. You have way too long to get burned out on a song individually rather than taking the whole album in in one sitting.

I thought the same thing when it was announced but the podcasts make this whole thing worthwhile. The songs are the least entertaining thing about this record.

First 11 songs will be out in 2/3 weeks, so the whole album won't be "spoiled" before it comes out.

I preferred the first version of this song with Goofy's vocals.. the leaked one aka "Doomy"

so that means the leaked tracks from June.. someone has all of the tracks

song sounds like an Oceania outtake if it came out in the MTAE era.. anyways it's a little closer to how "SP" sounds.. more so than the other tracks I guess.. the lyrics suck.. and the "concept" of this whole thing sucks donkey balls.

Oh yeah. I'm a month ahead. OK, so 7 weeks to go. We'll probably have the whole thing by then.
