Default Could Jimmy replace Bonham if Led Zep were to do a tour in 2013?

I think so.

I saw Robert Plant a year ago or something, and holy shit I have never seen so much botox in one night. The crowd was terrifying. But yeah Jimmy would completely outshine everyone.

Have you guys seen "Celebration Day?" As a casual fan, with only the exception of a tired version of Dazed And Confused, it's an amazing set.

Sure he could, but Jimmy is a very different player from Bonham. Jimmy is a busier player and has always had a jazzy feel and a good sense of dynamics. Whereas Bonham was more of a full-on heavy groove drummer. I think Dave Grohl would be more cut out for playing Zeppelin in a similar style to that of Bonham.

page and jones can still rip and this would be awesome

the real obstacle here is getting the musical disaster that is jason bonham out of the picture

You're crazy. Have a look at the Celebration Day DVD. The guy does the songs justice.

he was passable in 2007 but I still would have taken michael lee (from the P&P tours)

if you go back and watch the 88 and 95 reunion footage he plays like shit, I haven't seen anything that would make me not consider the 07 show a fluke on his part

best case scenario if this were to happy is Zak Starkey on drums.

I think you need to watch more video of Bonham, there is tons of little subtle jazz stuff going on in his playing.

i think Jimmy could totally sit in with zeppelin. The drums were a major presence in both bands' musical approach and a major reason why both of these bands are my favorite bands. The members of Led Zeppelin can still rock, and I think Jimmy could totally contribute the "hammer of the Gods"
