that sounds fun. If i tried to build any instrument i would defiantly fuck it up.. a pedal sounds like the perfect little project for an electronics dork like myself. Never really thought about doing that before... huh.

the guitar i have in my head?

i've always hated pick guards, so away with that shit. those rear routed body styles look slick. though i know little about wood types. i imagine a heavier wood would tend to suck out some good overtones.

im drooling over a walnut jaguar design with a wax finish right now.

the main thing with woods to remember is: heavier, more dense woods will be brighter and tighter. lighter, less dense woods will be spongier and darker sounding. not quite as much sustain

that's good to know then. i was thinking of a baritone scale strat with a rosewood body. i think that'd go well with a standard lace sensor setup too.

“Yeah, I want to play a Stratocaster.” I just got one, and when I played it, it suddenly brought alive what I was looking for in music.

he got paid $2000 for that line alone.

he's spoken similarly about the strat in a guitar world column from 15 years ago. it's in the beginning of that mellon collie tab book.

I'm a little confused, Billy, because you told Uli Jon Roth on TV that you don't want the Strat sound out of a Strat.

I heard he recieved a bribe from glass bottle companies before that programme.

Apparently sales of plastic bottled water in Germany have not changed drastically
