Smile Alice in Chains' Dirt V. Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger

Look, shut up. I'm trapped inside and Cathy Wheel isn't here to make this sort of thread, so vote, mock, whatever.

This is fucking tough, but I have more emotional connection to Dirt.

Yeah, I think I have to give Dirt the edge, too. Just a perfect album from front to back. So well played, perfectly produced and executed and has a great flow from track to track.

Badmotorfinger is sludgy riffy goodness but wears on after a while and gets a little samey in the back half.

The Chronic, on the other hand, has way too many skits. Skits are the worst.

So, I'm gonna go with Sweet Oblivion.

The follow-up to "mock," called "point and laugh at groin" was much better.

QOTSA's Rated R is basically Siamese Dream. The more I listen to both, the less I hear any difference at all.

Even though it still has a few bad songs in it, Dirt has some killer tracks so it gets my vote.

Sickman, Junkhead, God Smack, Untitled and Hate To Feel all feel like b-sides to me.

What can I say, I always thought Alice in Chains was kind of overrated.

Badmotorfinger definitely. I haven't listened to Dirt in a long time, but I don't think it has aged as well
