Hey Austin Powers, its not the 1960's anymore, it looks like you have alot of catching up to do. All the things you mention there HAVE been normalized. Jesus, what the hell more can be done to make women think that they have equal rights, or any other "minority" group for that matter? Yes, and I've had a very comfortable, well-paying job for 7 years now. The reason it's not obvious is because I'm not going to go around bragging about it when many people on this board are either unemployed and struggling to find work, or are underemployed.

I mean we have a 25% unemployement rate for teenagers, and we have another 25% or so of experienced people who are working jobs that teenagers should be working.

Sorry but there is no such thing as a shitty job. And we dont need to lower the retirement age, we need to raise it to at least 70. Essentially, what this economy needs is fewer old folks sitting on their ass watching Weather Channel everyday, and we need fewer teenagers sitting at home all day playing four hours of Mass Effects 3 followed by another four hours of Halo 4.

This idea that some jobs are shitty and not worth it is exactly why they get filled by illegal Mexos. A job is a job, you work it, and then you work your way up. Pretty simple process really.

In 1984, even people who had Down's syndrome and were on life support knew that Reagan was a MUCH better candidate than Mondale, and Mondale still got exactly 90% of the black vote. Not because he's black, but because he was catering to the black cause, full of benefits and dependencies for all.
