Default This message is for anyone who cares to hear a fool...

I have been listening to a lot of Mellon Collie lately, what a magnificant piece of work.

While doing updates to the Songs and Releases section of SPFC, I noticed that Tales of a Scorched Earthed doesn't show up as "not played live". I thought they never played it...does anyone have a recording of it?

I think they played a little of the intro as a tease.

there used to be someone who used every occassion to brag he'd been to some uber-leet secret show where they played it. he will probably show up in this thread as well.

well, did you try finding it in "songs played live"?

aha!

http://www.spfc.org/tours/date.html?tour_id=503

it says "tales of a scorched earth (tease)" and they didn't really play it. during silverfuck billy just used some words from tales of a scorched earth in a rant. very disappointing.

Good point...

I should modify that to ******* only full songs, not teases. I wonder if the rest of the staff would agree with that...

I seem to remember something about Jimmy playing a bit of 'Tales of a Scorched Earth' on acoustic guitar at the Metro during the filming of the 'Lyric' music video. Just a tease, though. And wasn't that also supposed to be the first time a Pumpkin played an SP song since Dec 2000?

how come in the songs and releases section does it say that slow dawn, lucky 13, and real love were the only songs from machina 2 that were released on an official disc?

i suppose they forgot about it. or weren't aware of the untitled single at the time the page was written. (wasn't the untitled single a europe only release?)

you're absolutely right about try (alt.). it's a cd release of a machina II song that's not *******d in that list, but it should be.

it pissed me off to. there's nothing worse than going into a thread and seing someone making off-topic posts because it's completely unnatural and evil.

what is that line that goes something like "I kick a time/doll/something, give me some... quiet"?

this particular rant is not on the spfc, but there are some interesting ones if you are bored
