Someone on Reddit heard it, and the following song. Said this was mostly instrumental, picking up the theme of the very first track.
The next track is supposedly acoustic, and very different to what's come so far. They even posted a cover of them playing it. |

Listening it right now: The Culling seems to be at the top of what we've heard so far.
So finally Act II is quite good and gives ATUM a quality direction. Springtimes is also very nice. Sorry Netphoria I know this is bad news. |

You can hear them already on YouTube with a VPN. They're both nice and sorta notable/different for ATUM tracks but I dunno if they'd win over stuck in the past types.

Trying to stream my way through Act I. What a weird experience.
I am at least happy that he is slowing down a bit. Cyr is so dense it's hard to get into. |

These two are actually standout tracks to me on Act II, a much better final track reveal than Act I had with Hooray and The Gold Mask haha. Love the reprise of sorts of the ATUM theme in the second half of The Culling

It's also funny how by this point in the record, we, as devoted mind slaves of BC, must be closely following the plot. This is a very emotional and dramatic point in the record where someone or something has been "culled." The robot from Hooray!? RUBY?!? Are you OK!?!?

I like them both. I really like Springtimes, even tho the intro nearly made me switch it off before it improved

Old news, but after trying my hardest to make it through part 2 it's just such absolute garbage. Atum summed up in one word would simply be "Unpleasant." Also, where the hell is the actual "Rock" in this soulless, brittle and sterile body of material mislabeled as a rock opera?
The intro of Springtime is literally lullaby style music for babies crawling on the floor. |

Absolutely the most atrocious SP release of all time. He and anyone associated with it should be ashamed to have this subpar work released under the SP banner.

I listened to The Culling and Springtimes on Qobuz. More of the same. Act I & II are up together.

thanks for the tips
cannot believe how bad these sound. every week it's like what the fuck is he doing. it never gets easier knowing they went from stumbleine to this i mean, they're certainly an improvement. there's real guitar - ethereal sorta james-y guitar, even. but that begs the question, why do only these songs have that? why were there 20 other songs that were plain synth and drum machine?? Billy just announced that due to the success of the podcast and ATUM.. that ATUM will actually be Part A of a 6 part rock opera album series. ATUM will be Part A and there will be 5 more parts coming over the next five years. The albums will all string together into one story and the ATUM story will continue!

Podcast was a bust. Nobody has sat thru that shit. This is the most tedious and excruciating album roll out possibly in history. Please sit thru me tormenting fans with my overbearing and arrogant opinions on everything for two hours week after week with a shit song in the middle of a shit sandwich. Lol
