It's Billy Mohler, Jimmy's collaborator on his solo work. He has more presence than Bates and more spark in his playing, but if he satyed in the band, his talent would be wasted.

Yep, Matt McJunkins!
Jimmy's gone and added roto toms back into the setup! I also love how wildly over the top his kit is for what would have been a couple songs getting performed that wouldn't require all that shit. This is a great performance |

Just wait until the top Tik toker discovers the boy and speeds it up, will go so mainstream that pop radio will have no choice but to play it all these years later

i'd have to imagine mohler would be incredibly bored playing pumpkins songs for an entire tour. it'd be like a high performance sports car only used to drop off children at school and then run errands, never going above 35 miles an hour (56.3 km/hr) |

Jimmy was wearing a scarf because the air conditioner was blasting upon the band. Howard does his show from home.

this band is so soulless now. okay performance, lack of katie is always a plus. it's obvious james now has zero input on the music lmao

I wonder if BC has ever sought out a regular therapist to talk about his focusing on criticism. I mean, besides turning to Jung, crystals, wrestling, tea shops, etc. Learning to be grateful for/ to focus on the better things in life is something that anyone can strive for, but I think BC rather enjoys focusing on the negative.

Vacations...? Not being available at the drop of a hat to appear on a radio show that was likely not agreed to until the 11th hour...? This is not Smashing Pumpkins material. Hopefully Nicole plays with another band now so Jack will not have to compete to play with Mike Byrne.

"Billy Corgan Talks Dealing With Constant Criticism" is such a fucking sad title. I genuinely slumped in my chair a bit and sighed seeing that.
Just... that's what it all comes down to, isn't it. That's what's underneath every conversation and every song and every decision. Just this warped perception that it's him versus everyone. Sometimes all the behavior and talk that results from that pisses me off or embarrasses me or what-have-you, but today I'm looking at that title on the video and I just feel really sad. |

I hate to do the armchair psychiatrist thing on a celebrity I obviously do not know in any meaningful sense of the word, but following his interviews and social media participation and all of that for like 30 years just really seems to point to this over and over and over
For better or worse, regardless of the truth of the idea, it's just the lens I can't help seeing him through and maybe that makes me an asshole, I don't know |

Matt Mcjunkins also plays bass for Poppy, who opened for SP last year. He’s a solid dude
