The first song got me excited for the rest of it, but the second track and everything after immediately destroyed, spit on, and threw out into the street any hope of me liking this band.

Z is pretty good. Doesn't even sound like the same band.

Kinda feels like a more radio-friendly Flaming Lips in its own weird way.

I've only heard the title track and i'm kind of undewhelmed by it. 3 killer records in a row might be a bit too much to follow up on, even for the Jacket. This song just sounds kind of unnatural. Though I remember it took awhile before all of the songs of It Still Moves became the tracks I needed to spin to remind myself why life is worth living, should the urge arise.

definitely. it's easily their most confident, immediate and fully-realized record and it has golden and I will sing you songs on it.

I can't find a torrent of it that actually works, and I don't feel like compromising part of my What.CD ratio.

I did like Z, though.

definitely an experimental record. hate the second song, but love the first song, and i really quite enjoy i'm amazed, thank you too and librarian. i think the whole cd will grow on me eventually...except the seconds song highly suspicious. highly suspicious indeed.

i would start with still moves though if you haven't heard them. i agree it is their most realized record as far as the style they started out with and what their strengths are
