Good question. I think we should watch/wait for more performances and see if they're going to come in time, or what.

or, to put it differently, if he doesn't play any of the james-songs, i'm not going to see that as a point he's trying to make. |

He soundchecked it, which means he is not above playing James co-written songs. If you think just because they didnt play it asheville, means that he won't play it down the road, I think you are wrong. |

The soundchecks sounded like they were more about rehearsing/practice. i heard him playing Eye, some other stuff.. Billy calling out notes and keys and just straight jamming.
when he started Eye up it was interesting because he didn't play right away... he went over different scales and shaving off a few notes everytime he started over and changed the timing which eventually became intro to Eye. lol this process took maybe max of 2 minutes |

however, i guess that doesn't address the legality of the situation with the james songs. |

and regardless of how special recording Shame was, Corgan wrote it. it's his song to play. and he re-worked it anyway. ...and if billy called it a rehearsal, then i'd look at things differently. but if some random fan called it a rehearsal i wouldn't. maybe he's saving it....but what for? |
