exactly, so why did you state that it would be fanboyish to say that the band is worse without him. it's a completely logical conclusion given the songs he's written/co-written

i thought you were saying his contributions were too few / mediocre. we agree then. it's fanboyish because "original lineups" usually matter only to fans.

I don't think there's many bands (any?) that have been better without the original lineup. Even just having a different dynamic would change things.

Hearing the songs in better quality has made a big difference in the production. I like pretty much all the faster-paced songs.

Superserious is pretty good, just sounds like Imitation of Life 2.0.

Right now I'm really liking Living Well, Man Sized Wreath, Hollow Man, Houston, Mr. Richards and Horse to Water.

The only real dud is Until the Day is Done.

It's funny going on murmurs.com, b/c fans are like "ZOMG! Until the Day is Done 10/10!!!!11!"

supernatural superserious? I like that song, I thought it was a decent performance. I think its just cause Mike Mills' voice is so fucking badass though.

i wish all music was like "let me in"
fuzzy guitars & tons of reverb..
it's a perfect song.
especially when the keys kick in.

i've never gotten into this band for some reason

but with modest mouse opening, i will definitely be attending the show, so hopefully i'll find an appreciation for r.e.m.

these tickets are fucking pricey though

Modest Mouse is the shittiest of the three bands playing, so I sure hope so.
