I seriously can't understand why grunge fans bust a nut over this pretty ordinary masculine rock singer voice. He sounds like every other grunge singer.

He has a very powerful commanding voice. He has a lot of range as a singer. As far as the music a lot of it is meat and potatoes rock that recalls the 1970s like QOTSA. But sometimes I just really like listening to stuff like that. Probably not as much I used to.

Can't people like more than one type of thing within a genre. I like Interpol and I like Franz Ferdinand from time to time. Stop being so close minded.

They actually pushed alot of boundaries and expiremented with different styles and pulled it off.

And they had quite the punk influence too by the way.

There's more to Soundgarden than the 5 songs from Superunknown that they still play on the radio.

Exactly, there's more than just the singles.

"Nothing to Say" is possibly the most awesome song ever:

I've often thought this song is the "perfect" SG song, it represents all the elements that make the band good.

It's hard to think of a better hard rock vocalist than Chris Cornell, for me personally. Perfect mix of aggro/sensual vibes and fucken just spine tingling in the tone and the timbre of it man. I like Queens better as a recorded band but Cornell still sings better.

i'm less concerned about the wheel chair and more concerned about how high he's holding that bass. COME ON. that is so not punk.Nor is the bass itself. And he's kinda making a face.
