Corrupt bankers use fantasy sports to control the world. News at 11.

P.S. Wisnewski's gesture at Sean Avery made me LOL, but he was on my fantasy team

the news at 11 crowd doesn't report such things, they're complicit with it. Sports have been part of the bread and circus distraction of the elites for a long time now. There's no news there.

ya, its not the right thread. and everything in moderation. you fucks wanna talk hockey when no one gives a shit right now about the sport, i guess i'll join ya.

Sharks can look impressive but around these parts they've reached a certain level where only what they do in the playoffs really matters but it's worth the wait cuz Hockey playoffs rule.

Coach is mixing up the lines, alternating goalies, trying to figure the blue line out. All I know is the Russian Diva is gone and his blame game is gone as well. That alone should prove positive for the Sharks...

that said, L.A. Kings are poised for big things this year I think. They got some good young talent.

Sports are the opiate of the masses, worshiping John Madden at their LCD and plasma altars every Sunday, giving countless millions of dollars to people like Ben Roethlisberger who will only use that money to fuck our daughters in bar bathrooms against their consent.

Yeah, slow start to the season for my Hawks. But I expect them to get back in form soon.

Also, Omega...fuck the Sharks.

first he makes some seemingly meaningless trade with the Thrashers, only to find out that allowed them to get some room under the cap and allow them to trade for Byfuglien. The Thrashers needed a team to help them out, Doug Wilson was more than happy to oblige.

Then he signs that D-man of the Hawks to an offer sheet, forcing Chicago's hand and it took them, what, almost the entire week they had to match the offer to retain him. Only that made them well over he cap and they had to let go of Neimi, whom the Sharks picked up dirt cheap considering.

It's fucking war between the Hawks and Sharks. damn straight.

lol why would you expect that? they blew the team up.

hard for me to talk shit as the pens sit at 1-3 right now, but once they get their injury situation cleared up, they should be much better.

Blew the team up internally? Or were you referring to a specific game?
In reference to the Championship team dis-banning, we still do have our core players. Strong set of forwards on the first few lines. Toews, Kane, Hossa, Sharp to name just a few. The new comers were put on the fourth line and have actually played pretty well. We have one of the best defensive lines in Keith and Seabrook, Jhalmarson (or however you spell it/didn't want to look it up) and Campbell are a good match. All and all, I think we have a strong team again and it's just a matter of time before it all clicks properly.

Also, as much as I hate the Sharks (this being a reason), it was well played by them. It's gonna be a fight when these two teams are on the ice.

So far so good for the Lightning. It seems like everyone is buying into Guy Boucher's system and it's resulting in relentless puck pursuit and ugly goals. Finally there is real reason for hope.

I'm surprised Mo didn't have a bigger presence last night (Wings vs Stars). I was glad the house gave him a standing ovation.

Lehtonen is turning out to be better than I expected. I hope he can stay healthy and keep making the saves.

Hopefully the Pens pull one out tonight. If they can be at .500 when Michalek and Orpik come back (or even when Staal gets back), I think they'll be alright.

I'm up 10-5 in my fantasy league right now. So I got that goin for me.

I'm considering picking up Letestu (and shit, maybe even Johnson?) in my fantasy league.

But I already have Malkin, Kunitz, and Letang. : /
