Also note that it's in every fucking song on Let It All Come Down, too.

Well, there doesn't seem to be any correlation between album quality and number of songs with 'love' in them. Definite correlation between song quality, though.

Billy did use the word 'lover' 5 songs straight during the 2nd half of Oceania, in an apparent attempt at a return to form.

Zeitgeist does not inclewd the word 'lover'. Nor does Gish or Pisces.

the list of all songs with 'love' as verb or noun is pretty long. especially if you just look at the 90 tracks on the Adore reissue, it's easier to count the songs without 'love'

What the hell are you talking about, it's right there in the chorus.

"Love, love, it's who you know"

After hearing it ten thousand times during the Mellon Collie sessions, James went insane and probably felt a mad obligation to incorporate the word on every single one of his songs.

No man, that is absolutely untrue.

Also, in French Movie Theme, strangely the word 'yeah' does not appear once.

Red face

Absolutely flabbergasted to discover a pop/rock lyricist singing this much about love and relationships, holy shit

All this time I'd had it in my head that he was singing primarily about Satan and animal torture like everyone else

You'd think a songwriter of that magnitude back in 1995 could improvise lyrics better live than just repeating words like "yeah" "lover" "baby".

he seems fond of the word 'forever'
and of course the overuse of 'soul'
the one word that sticks out the most to me in his songs is "i". while i know everyone pretty much uses it, he seems to do it a bit more than average
