favorite pixar movie
with wall-e recently opening and being incredible, i was wondering what everyone's fav pixar movie is. toy story is probably a top 5 all-time movie for me yet alone a top animated movie. i still adore that movie.
i think i have more confidence in pixar's movie making than i do in radiohead's music making. it feels like the past 5 years i would look at a pixar trailer and think how the fuck are they going to pull this off and then they do it effortlessly. wall-e is just another example. of my top 10 animated movies, pixar movies are probably about 6 or 7 of them. and if you think you're too old to appreciate pixar movies then you're stupid. seriously. |

Toy Story, but I haven't seen Wall-E yet. The trailer was pretty good, though.

Right now I'm voting Wall-E. It's either that or The Incredibles.
I haven't seen Toy Story in a pretty long time. I need to. |

Who comes up with these ideas? Not only that but how the hell do they make them work... every time? Also, I think I probably saw the original Toy Story like 6 times in theaters. I loved that movie.

I saw Wall-E last night. It was like the Pixar equivalent of Cast Away. Hardly any dialogue.

I don't know about favorite. But I'm quite sure that Cars is the worst pixar movie.

im actually going to watch a bug's life right now on youtube, it was the only movie that didnt really capture me but it was the only one i didnt see in the theaters. i wasnt paying as much attention to it when i watched it and i dont even remember the whole thing, so i want to give it a fair chance like i did all the other movies.
cars is probably the weakest of the rest but its still good, still had the usual grin by the time it got to the ending. |

Haven't seen Wall-E yet, but I'll go with Bugs Life even though I liked Dreamworks Ants better.

I remember when HD TVs started to start popping up in stores, they would always have Ants playing on the TVS in the stores to show off the HD. Loved Ants.

a bug's life finished
i hardly remember that movie(maybe i was watching antz?), i really enjoyed it this time around. its not the best pixar movie but some of that is probably due to every following movie looking better than its predecessor because the story was really cool, a lot of lovable characters. the raindrops in the ending probably looked pretty awesome in theaters. i got into it when all the ants attacked. its impossible for me to call out any of the movies for being the worst of the bunch, because worst has a negative connotation to it and i just love all these movies too much. i already feel dirty calling cars the weakest because i loved that movie too. and that movie had all the ingredients for me to dislike it. and by all i mean larry the cable guy was playing a lead role, and really thats all you'd need. |

For me, Cars isn't the "least favorite" of all pixar movies. I actively disliked Cars. I didn't like any of the characters and the story was boring and predictable.

I can't say I've seen most of these in full, but I dunno, I don't really like any pixar movies. I voted incredibles because I saw a few action scenes in it that actually justified 3D animation, and were pretty coo.
I don't think I'm too old for pixar movies, but I mean, how many would you really find interesting without the cool animation. edit: It occurs to me that I don't know what I mean by a pixar movie without animation, maybe if you were just looking at the script. |

Quiet you. I'm fine with someone watching something mainly for the animation. But I can't get into anything unless I like the plot, which for Pixar movies is usually kind of predictable. Everything is going well, some conflict occurs that takes the main characters on an adventure, two friends turn their backs on one another over an unrealistic argument, the friends eventually make up, a bad guy is defeated, then all is well.
