Billy and Jimmy hinted at this Rock Invasion 2 tour comprising mainly of old material they hadn't played in ages (e.g. bury me) and with them playing Quiet at those recent festival dates I'd say it's a pretty good chance the sets will be pretty good.

Giving Birmingham what it wants: the entirety of MSOTS followed by 11 Cyr tracks and WMMM as the encore

MSOTS was just as bad as Teagarden, both having a couple of redeeming tracks

get yer heads out of your nostalgia-drenched ARSES

ok i guess the zwan album redeemers were slightly more redeemable, & they had jimmy etc etc

still, can't believe you people still talk about it like it's on par with the actual OG pumpkins era shit

i'd sooner go to a play-thru of Zeitgeist

James on ZG would be in the same ball-park as Jimmy making the Oash tracks better, mainly 'cause the Zeit songs on their own are better than most of Oachie Anna

Just ran through the MSOTS tracklist, listened to a bit of the ones I didn't remember, and to my surprise, hey, I actually like most of these. I don't recall any of the Teargarden songs, but I do remember hating them all

I'd be on board with a Zeitgeist run-through, though, some good stuff on there, particularly if they did Stellar

You are fucking insane.

MSOT is infinitely better than anything SP2 has done.

Not only is MSotS better than anything SP2 has put out, some of unreleased songs from that era like "Cast a Stone" and "Chrysanthemum" are among the best songs Billy ever wrote.

The acoustic "Djali Zwan" songs like "Revolve" and the entire Spun soundtrack shit all over Cotillions and Ogilala too.

Machina 1 & 2 combined are vastly better than Adore.

Machina 1 though… ehhh… both albums are bloaters. Adore has a handful of tracks better than anything on M1, but I still think M1 edges it.

The unreleased Zwan stuff is, as pointed out, some of his best work.

MSOTS doesn't have a GOD damn thing on Machina or Adore, lol

it's a glorified christian rock album that, much like most of SP2, mainly just leads to discussion of what was left off the album rather than what is actually on it

MSotS is A LOT better than Machina 2, SP2, Willie Corgan 2, mang.

It’s got Pajo Slintesque guitar work, Sweeney Chavez-style hooks, Paz Lenchantin’s beautiful feet. It’s fire.
