even if james tracked guitar parts for every song, how much of it will be muted or nearly inaudible in the final mix?

its good to be optimistic but corgan claimed multiple times that they both contributed extensively to shiny and cyr

just because they posted a picture of a mic'd up drum kit doesnt mean shit in regards to the quality of the songwriting

adore is my favorite album that billy ever wrote... jimmy doesnt need to be there for it to be good... james can just come in at the end and slip in some sexy licks... if the songs are good the lineup doesnt mean anything.... a mike/nicole/jeff album had the potential to be amazing, they just get hate because they happened to be in the band at the wrong time

and yes, i am a much bigger fan of james/darcy than i am of billy... they add so so so so much to the band... jimmy too (hit or miss, look at zeitgeist)... but james is rightly-so not invested in billys new material because its not good and he is unwilling to take criticism... anything he adds at this point is a net positive but you cant polish a turd

Goddamn what a lifeless mix… shockingly lacks vocal vibrato yet still manages to sound completely flaccid and dull

It’s like they sent someone Mellon collie as a mix reference and they were like “cool!” while failing to understand any of the nuances that make that record sound incredible
