Nah. I never had a real chance to see the original band in their heyday, and I wound up missing the brief Melissa era because of conflicting plans and I kicked myself for it for years. If I can at least see Billy, James and Jimmy on stage together once, that's good enough for me. I wish it were the original lineup, but tough shit.

If they come to Australia then I will definitely go. I was prepared to travel overseas to see original 4 but not worth it now. This news with D'arcy is sad, I feel bad for her. I'm a new fan and was excited by the news of reunion and my chance to see sp live. I'm only discovering now what a real cunt billy is, I thought he's just misunderstood..

It's the whole vibe/attitude. The idea was, restart the band the right way. Everybody's more mature, issues are resolved, just remember the music, etc. But it's clear BC is as nasty, manipulative, and cruel as ever, maybe moreso. I am with D'Arcy in saying I am disappointed with James agreeing to go along with this. Chamberlin has always been close with BC, Corgan is just, as someome so aptly put it recently, "insufferable."

I would've really only gone if they were playing <2 hours away, tickets were cheap, and it was just the original 4

Jeff being inclewded plus the D'arcy bullshit plus the obvious cash grab arena bullshit...nah

I mean, even if they play fuckin Meladori Magpie->Marquis in Spades->Jellybelly, I wouldn't want to see it cause Jeff would be playing on everything

Will go. Last SP show in Dublin was 2008 and it was mired by terrible sound and a weird set list. So I'd definitely go if it was played in the likes of the 3 Arena.

So, for me right now it kinda depends on the set list. From the leaked texts it sounds like this is gonna be a greatest shits tour. I went to plainsong and thought it was great, more of a treat for longtime/knowledgeable fans than a cynical cash grab. Everything we’ve learned so far about this makes it sound like the latter

Yeah I'll go. Even with all the shit, it'll still be good to see Jimmy (and James?) again, and I don't want my D'arcy heckles to go to waste. I just hope Billy sticks to realistic venues. Shepherds Bush Empire was a good show, Wembley Arena was not, and it was only Ash being announced as support that prompted me to buy a ticket. I didn't even bother with the next tour. Mikey caused too much pain.

There should be an option for undecided. The treatment of D'arcy has for now killed all enthusiasm, but I still hope someone that is actually in the band matures enough to call her on the phone.

I'll be going , Darcy sounds fucking mental and if you old folk took your heads out of your backsides you'd realise Billy was being quite sensible in asking her to join not knowing how fucked up she is.

Her phone interview proved she's completely off the rails, nobody at that age with any sense of decorum would talk like that. I'm not surprised James doesn't speak to her or return her calls anymore.
