Default Clear Channel's Rock station in Seattle

104.9 Funky Monkey will not be playing the single until they get it, which will be on May 21st.

I wonder why some stations have it, and others won't be getting it until the 21st?

I've been a collector of promo singles for years. Radio stations used to get promo singles a week or more before they were supposed to play them. They usually have a sticker or info on the date you were allowed to play them. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Itunes. I can almost bet that Tarantula will debut on Itunes before the promo play date... you usually get an e-mail the night before from the fan club, web site, mailing list...etc.

That's how bands are beating piracy... making you spend $0.99.

The funny thing is that you believe we'd get an e-mail update from the Sp website.

LOL... ... good point. Well, we at least have an official MySpace page being run by a few teenagers.

It's hard to believe that some stations have gotten Tarantula... How about some details about the CD itself, COVER ART PEOPLE!... How many tracks?... album edit?... It should have some special art though.

A few promo posters and some stickers showed up on Ebay... using the flag art. So who knows what to expect.

I work for a different radio station in Seattle, in the same building as Funky Monkey. .actually I'm looking into their studio as I write this. Anyway, I've spoke to the afternoon show as well as various people in programming trying to get my hands on the single.

I can confirm that they will NOT play it before its released AND that they dont even have it yet. I will have it, hopefully a day before its played. Im not convinced that the KC station has it, much less be playing it on Monday. I call BS.

im very good friends with the program directors of KLBJ and 101x here in Austin (owned by the same company). they don't have it, havent seen it and dont expect it until the week before the single release. they said it was highly unlikely that other stations have it at this time.
