If anybody honestly thinks that this reunion thing is just a ploy to make more money, and not about the music, please listen to this speech Billy gave while he was in Ghent performing his solo shows.

A fan yelled out for him to play some pumpkins and listen to what he had to say to him.
He goes on a rant about the music industry and its just fucking awesome.

that my friends, is the reason why I've believed in the reunion since the very beginning and the reason why I fully trust them to put out one of the best rock records of the 2000's.

my reasoning that it isn't just a ploy is this.....they would have already had a "play the hits" reunion tour. That would have been the easy way to make money but they didn't take that route.

how about he shouldn't act like it's the smashing pumpkins when only him and jimmy is there. he could play his songs solo if he wants them back and he could have jimmy with him just the same

i was led to believe that this would be something that i could read to reestablish my faith in Billy Corgan. my faith in Billy Corgan hardly needed reestablishing, but now i've been so flagrantly lied to, i just don't know who to trust, how to think, what to believe . . .

I remember hearing this when it first was posted right after the show last year. This was just days before he announced the Pumpkins were reuniting I think.
