Remind me why you called me snuggles. I can't remember. High school was a lifetime ago.

I plan on getting there plenty early so I can hear the soundcheck. They've been soundchecking some oddball songs but not playing them in the set.

Ooh, good idea. I bet it's really easy to hear the soundcheck, too - when I went to see Yes there, we could hear them crisply from the gravel parking lot (as we arrived late).

the weird t-shirt you had with the black and white photo of all of the guys on it. the red letters we thought spelled 'smugglers' until we realized it said 'snuggles'

I'll be there early in the afternoon. When I saw Beck there, I got there around three and no one else showed up until about 5-ish.

I am from austin, live in dallas. going to both shows.

Let me tell You about Austin ... it's the live music capitol of the world. People in Austin don't show up to concerts until at least 10 pm. That's just how we roll. If you show up early you will be the only person sitting in line and people will look at you like you're from out of town and batshit insane. ; p

But, seriously, all joking aside ... you should check out the restaurants and stuff austin has to offer downtown. Don't worry about getting the show early, people will not be lining up, I promise.

As for me, i will be driving to Austin Thursday night, getting new contacts friday, going to the show with about 10 friends, then driving to dallas with a friend to see them there as well.

this is my realistic dream setlist for Friday:

WBFTT
Superchrist
Doomsday clock
Home
Drown
>Hummer
Starla
Ava Adore

Acoustic - 1979
Acoustic - Perfect
Acoustic - To Sheila

Pomp and Circumstance
SIYL
Thats The Way
Bring the Light

Encore 1
Muzzle
Cherub Rock

Encore 2
Let Me Give the World To You

They have normally been playing roughly 5 Zeitgeist songs, so I threw in the ones I would like to hear (Superchrist and US can be interchangeable since they are the same song) plenty of singles, not really obscure songs that haven't been played lately. I doubt this setlist would be played, but that's what I would like to hear.

i really only want to hear hummer, perfect, and muzzle. i would love for them to rip out gossamer again, just for this show.

I have always loved Home, I don't know how I feel about the new intro, but am really glad that they have been playing it this tour... For me its Home, Hummer and Drown - I would be happy with those 3

Gossamer would be cool to end with, but its sooo long (if they play the usual 30 minute version) that would prolly cut out alot of songs since they have only been playing roughly 2 hour shows post summer.

With the Atlanta shows both postponed and reports that Jimmy has been ordered to take a week off, I wonder if this show and Dallas are now in Jeopardy as well.

That's kind of extreme. Why not just wait until they reschedule?

i'm not so worried about it getting canceled or rescheduled (even though it is my birthday ). I am more worried about Jimmys future. if this is even slightly severe, he has got to think about his family- wife, and 2 kids. if he is having a problem by playing as hard as he does every night along with the troubles of traveling, i don't know how long this could last.

however, maybe he just ate something spicy.

Nice to hear that someone actually cares about Jimmy the person, as opposed to Jimmy the breathing drum machine. I'll be disappointed too, but the man is a mere mortal. I went through the same thing when U2 had to cancel their Hawaii show in April 2005 after The Edge's daughter fell ill. I would rather have to wait a few weeks for him to get better than watch the man die onstage trying to please the fans.

Of course. I hope Jimmy gets to chill for a while, and that he's fine. How ever long it takes, for sure.

They should seriouslly just scrap the remainder of the dates (what 10 shows?), and make those up in the spring.
