the first one was closer to slowdive I find.
The second one is mainly cureish because of the voice. Which frankly i'd work on to try to sound LESS Robert Smithish... Most bands trying to sound like The Cure miss an important aspect of the cure sound...great (though usually simple) basslines. And they sound like 90's (and post 90's) Cure more than 80's Cure. Soundwise, the cure have eras. |
