Default How are you feeling about Zeitgeist now?

Now that you have had a few days to digest it.........

There is lots of negativity and lots of contrasting positivity and I wanted to know what the overall feeling was on the album now and how people are taking the album after a few days of listening.

I know there has already been a poll rating it but that was on the same day it was leaked.

ARE YOU FEELING THE ZEITGEIST?

EDIT: AS PEOPLE HAVE POINTED OUT "DISAPPOINTED" DEPENDS ON EXPECTATIONS SO PLEASE INTERPRET THAT TO MEAN "POOR" ASWELL.

Thanks.

is there something inbetween disappointed (which I'm not really since it was kind of expected) and total disaster? I'm thinking "pretty shitty."

Stop being pedantic. Your answer should be dissapointed then.

For clarification - for the purpose of this poll dissapointed means if you think it is a poor album but not a total disaster, regardless of what you were expecting.

I wrote this poll because there seems to be a lot of criticism of the album.

Personally I love it, and I wanted to see if the haters were just a minority or just a few trolls or if in fact the album is being perceived badly by the majority.

can you really consider it dissappointment when clearly we knew beforehand it wasn't going to be the revolutionary pumpkins we grew to love? (and evidently hate here on netphoria)...

you can't be dissappointed when you expect nothing...

In many ways, especially when considering statistical metadata, I would agree, but it's not entirely worthless.

Changed the question to account for this.

I voted disaster. Really I think it's in between disappointed and disaster though.

Yes you can. You could have been hoping for something good and got a turd.

yeah, if i think about this album as a billy corgan solo album, i think it's good. but to give it the smashing pumpkins name feels both wrong and like a drop in standards.

music is good, production is pretty average at best.

compared to the real pumpkins, it's nothing.

edit - to sum up, it's what TFE could've / should've been.

It's the extreme minority on this board. They just post more.

is there an option worse than disaster ? How about "selling your soul, and your country, a political ideal, and the name of the band that made you famous, for money" option...

4 have rated it as their favourite album!

The only problem with Zeitgeist for me (and I voted that I loved it) is that there are no 10/10 songs.

I gave Muzzle, Disarm, Mayonaise, Here is no Why, Tonight Tonight, Zero, Galapogos and some others 10/10.

Here there are four 9/10 songs and about four or five 8/10 songs but so far for me no 10/10 songs.

Don't get me wrong, I still love it and that is still good enough for me.
