Never been there, kind of far from me. I know someone from Belfast, though! I think they like it, or something.

I listen the hell out of White Blood Cells. That record is damn close to perfect.

On the other hand, effect and cause is my favorite on the new album.

Outside of the song Icky Thump, I am depressed.

It's too soft!

i, for one, like this album. a few lame tracks, but overall, i like it. i also like how they're way more bluesy on this record than previous efforts. letting their influences show more, etc.

Icky Thump and 300 MPH are really great songs.

White Stripes are sooo hit and miss for me though.

yeah i agree, there are some filler tracks that i just skip over. i really enjoy this album though. def bluesly...esp on catch hell blues haha but speaking of this track..it sounds very close to....when they performed on teh grammy's i think a couple years ago and he broke out into that song i can't remember it off their first album. oh well.

stand outs - 300, Rag & Bone, I'm Slowly Turning Into You, Icky Thump

I haven't seen the performance, but from hearing Catch Hell Blues it was probably Death Letter. They're very, very similar songs. Except that Death Letter's from their second album. Oh well. Maybe it was Stop Breaking Down? From their first album and also similar to CHB.

I really like most of the songs on there and, like D. said, it sounds a lot more bluesy to me. I cannot wait to see them next month.

Let me know how the show goes!

I'm still trying to decide if I want to make the effort (i.e., make Chris make the effort) for us to go see them. I've already seen them three times, and the last time was not very much fun due to the venue... But it'd be great to see them one last time before they kick the bucket.

Ugh, I was kinda indifferent about seeing them live again, but last night I had dreams all night that I went to see them, and I just watched a few more live performances of Icky Thump, and I'm pretty sure I will die if I don't get to see Jack double maneuvering the guitar and keyboard again.
