Well it certainly drew attention to them and I'm sure it is being talked about more than on an sp message board.

People arent talking about his beliefs though. People are talking about how in awe they are at this mans mental incompetence.

Even you havent spoken about the war. All thats been noted here in this thread is 'well i guess he really cared'.

I don't really respect the guy, but I can't believe some will actually push themselves to this point. It's just sad and depressing that the current state of affairs can really have this kind of impact on some people.

Well I'm pissed off paying towards a war I don't believe in and I too feel ashamed about my country’s involvement with the war.

You know what?
Those Monks In Vietnam were so much cooler than that guy. I mean, they really knew how to do it right.

See picture posted by "The Juerto"

Those guys made sure there were cameras around when they did it

Someone said he was pretty much the single documentarian of that genre of music in Chicago for the last 20+ years. I guess 'constructive' depends on what you consider to be worthwhile acts. This freelancing stuff that some people do is usually (and i say not ALWAYS but USUALLY) completely worthless and is just an excuse to avoid starting a real career. I think most freelancers and "experimental" types just eventually get lonely and bored, and eventually depressed, and then do stuff like commit suicide. Poor guy probably never got any ass because women want guys who have something going for them.

He described himself as a renaissance man who'd amassed a collection of more than 2,000 musical recordings from clubs in Chicago. He was a writer, philosopher and photographer. He was an alcoholic who collected fossils, glass eyes, light bulbs and snare drums. He paid $25 to become an ordained minister with the Missionaries of the New Truth and operated a handful of Web sites protesting the Iraq war.

I saw this thread a while ago and none of you mentioned that. Anyone for the possibility that he had pumpkins shows that aren't circulating?
