A rock opera that (sort of) rocks
Alternative title: A space rock opera that sort of doesn't suck
I was tired of all the filth and garbage on ATUM.. and wanted to try whittling down some of the garbage to make a somewhat decent "space rock opera" ATUM - EP - Smashing Pumpkins 2023 1. ATUM (title track) 2. The Good In Goodbye 3. Embracer 4. Hooligan 5. Empires (remove Katie Cole backing vocals) 6. Moss 7. Space Age 8. Every Morning.. only song that's grown on me 9. The Culling 10. Springtimes (remove intro) Single #1: Every Morning Single #2: The Culling B-side: Hooray!.. for LOLs If the album were this I would raise my score from 1/10 to probably 4/10 I left off Beguiled because the song doesn't rock and the guitar chugging is annoying Last edited by enthusaroo : 02-05-2023 at 05:56 AM. |

I actually think Part III *might* have some bangers on it.. I'm guessing it does.. because even from a marketing perspective which Billy seems so focused on since 2008.. the 3rd part is really the last chance to 'sell' the whole album before it officially releases.. so my best guess is that Billy left like two or three good songs he knows people will actually enjoy for Part 3. One guy on reddit who said he heard the entire album a few months ago.. said there were two pretty good songs on Part 3. We'll see haha
If that's the case.. I'd probably remove Hooligan and Empires and maybe Good In Goodbye and Moss from the tracklisting above and replace it with the two or three good songs from Part 3. |

Beguiled is decent and should be on this playlist. Would ditch Moss as it is really repetitive.

No way, this list is probably as good as it's gonna get. Which is bad.

I'm still at zero. Waiting for a song I can add to any type of playlist yet...

Hard no. This is not music I enjoy listening to, so boiling it down to the lifeless rock tracks does nothing for me.
Guys, Unknown Mortal Orchestra has some new songs out. |
