Question

My brother in Christ, Hollywood is making hundreds of billions of dollars a year having superheroes brawl like a kid smashing two action figures together, all of these characters involved in a soap opera-like years-long convoluted storylines

Like this is basically all audiences want at this point

How is that not just wrestling with visual effects instead of folding chairs and card tables

If we all work together and make this a great year, maybe [New Zealand band] will play all the dates Jane’s Addiction won’t make.

Some video from the pumpkins Instagram showed Jimmy brought the "shiny" kit for this run, along with a smaller second kick drum (that has his old JC head on it).

I love how his kit just seems to get subtly bigger on each leg

I'd be interested to hear the Church cover (good choice BC) but not sure I could endure what would feel like 15 hours of wrestling to see it.

I also don't really understand why Katie is just there to stand and sing, weird she doesn't go back to playing live keys/synth.

I found the proposed set times for Melbourne and there’s only (lol) 2 20 minute sets of wrestling.

same considering a lot of the new material has lots of keys.. but BC loves those backing tracks!

I wish they've do the new stuff adore style, use whatever they've got to recreate real live versions of those recorded songs.

Okay, this is actually kinda good.

Just release live albums Bill, this is where you might still have it.

backing tracks are 'where the industry is at' so they 'have' to do that despite it sounding more sterile and it not being their strength anyway

hence why, imo, Mellon Collie remains their best album.

the whole MCIS era is like a full band's (admittedly brief) discog in itself

hard to dispute it being their finest hour even if you do maybe prefer one of the other albums to Mellon Collie itself

Literally 4-5 albums worth of material from that era and it's all top tier. And it was the band as they really were at that point.

Spellbinding still sucks live, I'm not sure what you lot are going on about.

So the core GH setlist is now (with only one post-2000 permanent edition):

Cherub
Today
Zero
BWBW
1979
Tonight
Ava Adore
Eye
SYIL
Solara

And then they throw in two other SD/MCIS songs (did that Apple commercial get a lot of play down under?)

And, and this is the most telling thing to me, they perform no songs from Cyr.

Will be no ATUM in a few years either, I'm surprised Solara has stuck around for so long
