this too: https://archive.org/details/BC2009-08-31.dab.flac24

Don't know why TBK and MSTOS had to be all electric (oh yeah to reach the kids)

Not TBK song but favorite performance from the era. Billy looks so happy here https://youtu.be/p6V1AF-MT2E

Also, this is a great performance from the TbK live era, altho technically Ava Adore is of course not from the era.

Billy is in rare form here, check out his reaction in the beginning when his guitar craps out, also plenty of guitar hero antics ensue during the solo.

That was a sweet guitar solo.

Record Store Day gave a brief glimmer of hope that Corgan might have been able to pull off a new version of Smashing Pumpkins.

I forgot how awful the drum track is. The guitar solo is nice.

It's insane how good that record store day show was compared to the rest of the era

Billy seemed into it, Mike seemed restrained in his playing and smooth(er) in his fills, the vocals sounded great, Jeff didn't sound too bad, the setlist was good

I agree. I actually really fucking liked it. The only negative to ASFAS is that it was the first of 44 and it set the bar pretty damn high and no other song recorded & released online during that period was anywhere near as "fun" to listen to...

ASFAS was always, to me, like a billy corgan gear nerdgasm with all those keyboards, effects, solos, and a pretty solid arrangement.

2008 version was good too. JC should be playing a song for a son on this tour...

this version of the band always sounded better stripped down. Could be because Mike's drum bashing/timing or maybe just because the songs bill has written since 2005 (excluding some of Zeitgeist) simple sound better this way and aren't complimented by bill's attempts to over produce in the studio or "pumpkins them up" for live shows
