Definitely cleaner, and also slightly pitched down from the version I've had all these years.

Should surprise no one that this was uploaded on the anniversary of the original release date (9/5/00).

I think we all agree this is literally 10,000x better than AMM.

Pretty sure that this comes from the Q101 source. I dug out an old CD-R copy I'd made from a different source (think it's Virgin, it's a little sped up). Couple of things:

- The transition between Saturnine and Glass on the Q101 rip has some kind of audio mistake that sounds like the audio got paused. The new rip has that same noise between songs. The Virgin rip doesn't have it.
- The Q101 rip has a big vinyl pop at the end of Try, right before somebody says "Let's go back a little bit." The new rip has the pop in the exact same spot. My old copy doesn't have the pop there.

There's another spot near the end of Atom Bomb where Billy sings "We are the --" and cuts off. Both Q101 and the new rip have another pop in the same place. So I'm thinking either someone did some digital editing on the old Q101 rip to make it sound better, or else they've got the Q101 vinyls and made a new rip from them.

There is only one album better than this one in their discography and that's MCIS.

1. MCIS
2. M2
3. SD
4. Adore

etc etc

shattering fast im glass im glass

This is so great. It really is one of their best albums.

I listen to Slow Dawn and Vanity on the first snow of every year. I love the wintry sounds of Machina.

Considering the reissue is never ever coming out, it's nice to get a (slightly) cleaner version of this put up. Kudos to the uploader.

1) releasing something on spotify is not the same kind of free that just giving it out is before the era of streaming and pirating was still in its infancy

2) I'm saying they did it BEFORE almost anyone else, not that they didn't release a "no pay" album 4 weeks ago. They were one of the first major acts to do this. And do we have lossless Aghori for free?

Hate to say it but I think this is fake. Loads of vinyl pops that happen at the same time as the ones on the Q101 rip (and not the others). They did a nice job bulking up the sound, but why bother saying it's a brand new transfer?

i mean all you really need to hear something differently is to be told it sounds different, then you just listen harder and notice stuff
