is a good song. The "ha ha yay yay" works. It's actually beautiful. And I love the chorus. You guys are stuck in the pass...

I can tell you one thing this album compared to any other 90's band post is the least phoned in and creative attempt I've heard. Creative/ interesting music always divides people. "I don't always love CYR but when I do I always appreciate it, because I hear a musician that loves to create new challenging art. Your not gonna hear Vedder, Grohl, or any even Yorke take this kind of chance. IMO there's only one of these that's different than the others. Yorke dabbled also but he scurried back to familiar territory.

By challenging art, does that mean it is a challenge to make it through a complete song without dosing off? There's challenging music that engages you. Sounds that do not make sense together somehow work beautifully together. Makes you sit up and pay attention. You wonder, "How did they do that?" Then, there's challenging music that frustrates you for going nowhere. Sounds are bland and uninspired. Makes you sit back and want to think about anything else. You wonder, "When is this going to end?"

Cyr = the latter

Song takes u on a journey of vastly different wetnesses

As in the reverbs

It's transportive. He was right, he said he was going to do it, and by f he's done it, he's rocked my mind to mystic climes, or wherever

Got to be trolling surely, I tend to prefer SP to Radiohead but any idiot can see that Thom Yorke combines electronic elements into his music with huge amounts more sophistication and credibility

Cyr blows. Everything about the release is lol

I love the stuck in the past logical fallacy as a way to support current output as good or even listenable.
Seems to me the only fans who can listen to this garbage are stuck in the past of BC making music that doesn't suck.

AEGEA and Siddhartha both pushed boundaries of what BC typically releases. But no one argues these releases as good due to their level of experimentation because they are boring and uninspired. Verdict is the same for Cyr, unlistenable and forgotten.

so if you graciously accept WPC's latest artistic effort with open mind and clean heart, you are a "cult adept"?

So sad to the see the worldview of one consumed by bitterness.

YA5H is a seeker, a sojourner, a seer. One who is in-spired and in-spires. I salute you, friend YA5H, and pray for your enemies! May they find the light that shines on us from WPC's beacon!

Or they just have completely different tastes than you and are more open to giving it a shot.

It's a seriously flawed release, yeah, and much of it sounds samey, but there's about half of it that I'd consider decent.

People talk about this as a bad electronic album, but I've actually never seen anyone yet try to dissect the parts on the album that are guitars made to sound like keyboards etc. It's likely way less full of keys than it gets dismissed as being.

people have played the "well at least he's trying something new" card on me several times when explaining why they like CYR or whatever, & just, no the fuck he's not lol. like what you like but the dude was doing this 15 years ago, and honestly, a little bit 20 years ago as well. this is not "creatively daring," it's more bullshit pop attempts from a guy who doesn't even seem to like it

merry christmas

I didn’t care much for Cyr at first listen, but it has really grown on me.

Much like my grandfathers dick was growing inside me when I was a toddler.
