One of my oldest friends just died.

He went to my high school but was older than me. I've known him for decades.

He was a lifetime punk. Tattooed chin to toe. He and my ex did many of the same competitions and we often traveled with him and his wife. Spent so much of my life hanging out with the guy. He was in a series of punk bands back in the day. He had a habit of getting naked on stage and it eventually led to his bands being unable to play any bar in my hometown.

He had an inoperable brain tumor and was diagnosed a decade ago. It finally killed him

yeah it was/is bullshit. it's a surreal story and weird to think i actually went through that. the assailant's most recent court date was yesterday and the DA asked me to come in this month to prep for trial next month. so i'll just get re-traumatized with photos, statements, and body cam footage and recall what i can without crying hopefully
