![]() It still baffles me that they're doing Zoo Station and in the main set they are doing it THIRD.
Most bands reserve their covers until the encore at least, "we're gonna try something different" or something like that. But third in the set? WEIRD. |

![]() It's a cool cover though, way more interesting than the singles played as per album. Good Jimmy showcase

![]() Zoo Station was super exciting for me. I went to the concert hoping to hear stuff I never had heard from them before, and them delivering that early put me in a good mood.

![]() Exactly why I like them. I might not always like what they do, but the fact that they do it..

![]() I don't mind them doing it. But third in the set?

![]() It is great and appropriate that it is third in the set, for precisely what the song is about. This is not just a nostalgia act, these are musicians that are ready and hungry for the next thing.

![]() I had that same thought in Reno - a real hodgepodge casino crowd.
TEG --> Doomsday --> Zoo is QUITE a 1-2-3 opening three hit combo. Especially when Zoo is riffed and solo'ed out to like a 6 minute thing. I was loving Doomsday Clock (an unsurprising setlist high water mark for me) and Zoo was fun - but I did think about the casual homies in the room... until Today. Then until they played like 50% singles. Gotta hand it to them for just going for Zoo, though - takes a little bit of guts. |

![]() this mf OPENED the show with superchrist in 2008 for several weeks, followed up with 40 minutes of Gossamer, then closed shows with 20 minutes of some washed Pink Floyd D side. Bill does what Bill wants.
