the instrumental break in For Your Love is so refreshing to listen to knowing if he put it out today he'd be filling it with lalalas and nonsense anti-melodies

I’ve loved Love Lies in Ruin since I first heard it the first time they ever played it at the Blue Note 2002-04-05

(I missed the entire original live run of SP so i am well entitled to brag about being at this show every chance i can and thank you for offering me that chance!)

Great version of New Poetry and Cast a Stone at that show too. Also a Black Swan that’s better than the record if u ask me

I think everything live was better than the record. Maybe a more controversial thought, I just rewatched the Pinkpop performance and I actually think Billy peaked at guitar playing that day and it's been downhill since.

Somehow I made it to a couple rows back from the front. Blue Note is a really good sounding small theater. And so the drums were incredibly loud and thrilling, especially the toms they made me feel like my limbs were going to fly off. That and the solos during dust my broom are the two things that really stick with me. Other than that screaming biiiiiiiillllllllliiiieeeee

It turns out the CD-R is gone from my parents' house, so I'm only left with v0 mp3s. If anyone could dig this up so we could upload it to the LMA, that would be great. One of the best-sounding Zwan recordings.
