Getting the same kind of vibes I get when a 35-year-old Funko-Pop owner says the new Inspector Gadget reboot "raped their childhood" or is "a cancerous abomination that should constitute a war crime" or something.

Bubblegum pink seems like a strange choice of color with the cover art.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the art of the Teargarden boxsets were actually more interesting than this. Then again, after seeing the choices for Shiny, Cyr, and Atum cover art, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. If it hasn't already been done, we should create a thread for worse SP cover art. |

Bubblegum pink is too good a color to hang with the likes of Billy Corgan.

1. I'd bet money the photos are from the royalty-free archives.
2. Who cares about vinyl color? 3. Literally nobody wants this. 4. For the price they still can't spring for anti-static sleeves |

I feel like on one hand you have dum-dums like me saying "this is the worst thing anybody would ask for" and other dum-dums saying "why won't they release a 4 hour MCIS show on vinyl??"
so what's actually possible that could be released that would be good? machina demos - can't do that faeomm tape - can't do that mcis demos - can't do that adore demos - nope can't double door - probably not anymore no so we're just down to live shows that haven't been reissued and/or pre-gish material so what good live shows that haven't been reissued in part and/or will fit on 1-2 records? best of Arising? Adore-era live alt versions? |

All told, yeah - wouldn't be my top pick for a vinyl release by a mile. But I think I could see myself tossing this on from time to time. And since I already have the first four, I'm definitely in a might as well get them all at this point mentality.
Good share on the original video. Was surprised to see it not up any more, as it was there forever. Ripping it down as we speak for historical preservation purposes. |

well basically anything from that era will be tied down to virgin records, even if as-yet unreleased.
they could start to explore some unreleased 2.0 material like zeitgeist era demos and other teargarden tracks. i would definitely shell out a bit for that kind of thing. but i feel like billy would want 'bigger plans' for that kind of stuff and not this type of series which is essentially official live bootlegs. so maybe even some soundboards of the broken clock society show / spirits in the sky shows, if they recorded any. |

I’m not up to date on what part of the catalog he owns rights to. Does he even own rights to be able to do a MCIS era vinyl release? I kind of doubt it.

Maybe even a format for those of us who aren't 80 years old... yet.

He can license literally whatever he wants from Virgin to release thru Zuzus.. this includes the machina reissue unless it’s still contractually obliged, which I doubt because virgin seems completely disinterested in it

He put out the Gish Japan archive release… he simply would rather release some 2017 acoustic stuff over MCIS era goodies

She's like a lethal combination of supreme self-entitlement, elitism and total lack of stage presence. I get it, waking up every morning next to Grampy Bill must be quite a challenge but c'mon, you know...

Live shows, newly recorded versions and whatnot, it's all his and that's why he's doing the archive releases but the Masheena reissue is still missing. |

An LP of all the Teargarden tracks wouldn't be the worst thing... if it was in a nice package with decent artwork. I'd probably play that more than I would, say, a vinyl of Zeitgeist.
But yeah, all this stuff should be on Bandcamp. They'd make so much money, especially on Bandcamp Friday. Didn't Thom Yorke make like $20 million when he released Tomorrow's Modern Boxes? Not that SP would sell that many, but I'd certainly rather this as a download than fork out for a record. |
