gotta say it's really, really nice hearing new pumpkins songs all at once, and not knowing what other fans think about it.

Burr is meh but drum part is pretty neat. interesting instrumentation. probably the most american gothic sounding here.

I get a sense this is the type of record the band wants to make for fun, but know it's not going to be the kind of stuff people will pay to see smashing pumpkins live. that's it. good luck finding this i aint getting the fbi up my ass over this little side record.

Checked out the IG clips, sounds alright. Definitely more in the Teargarden / "could've been a solo album" vein.

i am reminded of when pixies put out the demos for Beneath the Eyrie as a vinyl box set exclusive (way way way more reasonably priced, and on 1 LP... similarly all totally different tracks, not rough versions of album tracks) and the excitement around awaiting a rip of that too. feels like a Bonus album, and the stakes are always lower there, and it is made all the more essential by its differences from the 'main' album.

I find these songs to be exceptional

As much of a committed vision as Atum, but with completely different textures.

It has more in common with the beatles than anything else in their catalogue. Not Teargarden psychedelic. A totally different sound for them.
