Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Ultimately fruitless, of course, but I did find just the general topic of alchemy interesting to learn about. Later on I'd get into a couple of ARGs (remember those?) for the same general feeling. But, y'know, a better feeling because the puzzles had actual answers, and there was new stuff all the time, and an ending.

at some point I thought I must have been too busy writing my own parallel AGR that I lost track of billy's. And then it turned out that billy's wasn't even fleshed out or with a goal. Maybe the red dwarf was a righs battle we had because the only AGR that survived documented is mine.
FU billy and your mystery. let it remain forever a mysetery. and I'll put the M2 versions back onto archive after I'm back from Ukraine if you haven't released the M1&M2 boxset by then. that's a threat. |

I just simplified the Machina story in my head to think of it this way:
If Mellon Collie is about the ups and downs of teen age, then Machina is about facing up to adulthood. I find that Machina really does a lot to articulate the feeling of getting older and taking on more responsibilities but deep down wishing you could just go and flee from everything. There are fleeting moments wherein you can escape the endless march of day to day life, but ultimately you have to keep going, because that is what people are supposed to do. None of the lyrics or themes necessarily reflect any of that, but that was where I was at when I first picked up the record, and that feeling has kinda just stuck with me. |

Not sure here is the best place to post this, but here's a message from Vasily. He has a GoFundMe to help him look after his wife's treatment
