i am so happy you get the reference!! never thought of covering it but the band was sort of built on the idea of doing just that.. then it never happened.

I was quite passionate about that show during its run, and it's first re-run. You should definitely make that cover happen, even if people don't get the reference, people would still enjoy it as fans of the show. It's an iconic theme song.

the bassist has a degree in audio eng. and the singer/guitarist did the mix - i wish i got more of a say but i am cognisant that the 'proper and correct' modern thing is where you sample the drums boost the vox etc etc
