According to “Mr MacPhisto”:
When zwan were in the studio recording mary star, they secretly held an open mic night at a bar called ‘the hideout’. it was every monday night, and it lasted about 2 months. it was held under the moniker “jack sweeney’s open mic”. musicians would sign up and play their two songs sets every monday, in between billy corgan, matt sweeney, paz lenchantin, and david pajo’s respective two song sets. and once in a while they would do a “full” band (minus jimmy) set of 2 songs. sometimes special guests would show up to participate like rick neilsen from cheap trick. i recorded the shows with the band’s permission. and when i used to work on zwan.com i released the 2 compilations on there. the tracks and the order of the compilations were a collaboration of me and the different band members. i had an idea a while back to go through and make a proper release with more songs, full band songs, banter, jokes, etc. and i was told not to. so take it for what it is. it’s a great collection of songs.

Disc 1:
01 I Held A Rose
02 Consumed
03 A New Poetry
04 New Room
05 Prairie Song
06 I Love The Living You
07 Song For Judy

09 Just To See You Home
10 Diamonds
11 Endless Summer
12 Desire
13 Come With Me

Disc 2:

Matt Sweeney (Zwan) – [Hideout Two #01] Born In The USA
Billy Corgan (Zwan) – [Hideout Two #02] Here I Am

David Pajo (Zwan) – [Hideout Two #06] Dignified and Old
David Pajo (Zwan) – [Hideout Two #07] Behold A Pale Horse
Billy Corgan (Zwan) – [Hideout Two #08] On The Meaning of Loss

Zwan - Going To Riverview: The ZWAN Anthology [FLAC]

This began as a personal project to simply collect all of the Zwan non-LP tracks
into one collection, using only sources with the best possible sound quality.
I know there is already a Zwan bootleg boxset out there with much of the same
versions as this, but my set turned out so well I thought I'd share it with you all
anyways!

- All these recordings are commonly available elsewhere, but volume has been
adjusted, banter edited and crowd noise faded to create continuity and an optimal
listening experience.

- NO mp3-sourced material; all recordings are sourced from FLAC or SHN lossless
media.

- Multiple versions of songs are excluded. I tried to choose one definitive
version, often later versions of songs rather than earlier versions (Cast A Stone,
For Your Love, etc.).

- All thanks goes to the original tapers & traders.

I've talked to the Spanish Community Chief (tm), and he approves. You may name your kid Alberto.

THANKS for the Riverview comp. It's missing a couple of songs but I was able to match it with the "anthology" I already had and spruce it up. I mostly replaced my copies with yours.

Adore Live

As the title claims, this is a compilation of live recordings from The Smashing Pumpkins’ Adore Tour in 1998, structured to create a live version of the Adore album in its entirety. I know this has been done before, but this is MY take on it, using sources that have not been “mastered” by fans.

All songs have been volume adjusted and crossfaded to give the appearance of a continuous performance in two segments: the first eight songs (approximately 45 minutes) and the last eight songs (approximately 50 minutes). Both could appear on their own as separate discs, if that’s yer poison. “Blissed and Gone” was substituted for “17” since “17” was just an abbreviated version of “Blissed and Gone” anyways. You could think of it as an encore after “Blank Page”.

I have chosen the best possible soundquality for all tracks on this compilation. To choose from the plethora of well-recorded stereo soundboard FM-sourced bootlegs was daunting, but I ultimately chose a key recording which best articulated the extra instrumentation that augmented the live rock band. Most tracks are from a pre-FM source, with a few others FM sourced. Most are taken from the US leg of the tour, after the band had gained months of playing time behind them; “Crestfallen” was taken from the European leg, because they had later dropped the opening jam.

Don’t You Want Me Baby [Human League] (tease)
Let Me Give The World To You (take 2)

Technical Info:
Audio One – This is the matrix release and is PCM. It had to be stretched in order to sync it to the video. The first 40 seconds of this track are from the vhs audio (before compression) to fill in the silence.
Audio Two – This is the original vhs audio and is in ac3. I chose to do ac3 so that the video quality could remain higher and so that I did not have to re-encode the video.
Video – Captured with an ATI 8500dv.
The vhs is an unknown gen. Brian Muehlhaus had this to say on netphoria:
I have the complete Storytellers video, even though it isn’t really complete. I have been told that I have one of the lower generations around. Don’t know if that is true, but I got mine from a guy named Jonathan Hunt in 2001 or so. If I remember correctly, some of the songs they played again aren’t on the video I have, so technically it isn’t complete, but I have heard that the complete video with every song that we have on the audio versions isn’t in any circulation. Don’t know if that is true.
