i don't generally support the album survivor polls but i can't seem to think of an adore song that more or less everyone likes. are there any universal favourites, cause i'm sure i know at least one hater for every song on adore, which isn't something i can say for the other albums bar zeitgeist.

probably the strongest candidate would be For Martha, but then that's obvious because its also probably (technically) the blandest, most conventional song on the whole album. not that it isn't awe-inspiring of course, but it is one of the least sonically inventive tracks and therefore also the least likely to offend anyone who doesn't like their music too interesting. which is always a shame.

uh i think the "universal favourites" are generally regarded to be rhinocerous/siva/drown/cherub/soma/tonight/porcelina/ruby/1979/stand inside your love, give or take a few.

1979 was never one of my favourites, and seeing how I've heard it soooo much I couldn't care less if i never heard it again.

i've been thinking of doing some again. i know i ran the one for TFE. how would you guys feel about an adore one with all of the adore-era tracks? at least the ones that weren't demos. it would be the basic album tracks, plus: the end is the beginning is the end, the beginning is the end is the beginning, czarina, once in a while, summer, because you are, my mistake, waiting, saturnine, blissed and gone, winterlong, and soot and stars. maybe also do you close your eyes when you kiss me and chewing gum, but probably not. i don't really count those because they don't seem to fit in with the others. what do you guys think?

yeah totally agree. Adore is definatelt best listened to as a whole. It's such an mazing album. I don't know about a winner. For Martha and nightmare are always popular.

so FUCK re-doing the older survivor threads. personally, i'm fine with going back and looking at the old ones, since other than the elimination order changing, i think the winning song(s) will most likely end up the same.

and besides, the old ones are funny. where else can you see some of today's biggest asswipe haterz gushing like fanboys over Adore and the early material....its quite amusing to me.
