This is a wildly bizarre take on me pointing out, after you first got into it with Alter, a thread of him doing his thing and you thanking me for the heads up. At no point did anything you wrote make me think you thought "don't bother" was a mod directive. It was more like, hey, I like you, this guy's not worth your time or rage (more on this soon).

My response to you, when you PM'd me thinking I was a mod and then corrected yourself—coming to me for help with Alter, as it happens—used the smiley post icon (like the one on this post! I use it when I want to make it especially clear I'm being silly!) and read as follows:

"No problem. Probably my natural leadership abilities and charm coming through the screen. I think I've also repeatedly joked about blocking people, being a mod in general, etc., so it's likely my bad for giving folks that impression."

I don't know how you take that as anything but self-deprecating. This isn't about any of that, though, is it? This is about when I publicly recommended you take a break from the board before you had a fucking meltdown because you'd been posting nothing but angry, combative responses here for like a month or more. That was an intervention, dude, that was concern, 'cause I've been there. Not an attempt at censorship, you dolt. And having read people quoting you since then, my recommendation still stands.
