Always makes me chuckle a little that James might be the only guitarist who uses an e-bow so much he keeps it attached to his mic stand with the picks.

the paint on JC's kit is gorgeous. kind of [appropriately] a MCIS feel plus a dark circus feel, almost

i'm sure those are Yamaha Maple Customs as he is wont to play

He's not this time. It sounded so much better in person with the heads.

Billy’s guitar tone did sound great last night. Better than has in a while. He was also really loud and I could hear his riffs and soloing better than many past shows.

Jimmy finally posted up pics of this tour kit - https://www.instagram.com/p/CjWcivuuC8k/

Great to see he's playing a giant kit live again, almost up there with the size of the Machina tour kit!

I'm going to hazard a guess at the following... maybe "jimmy drevpile" can help, I'm not that familiar with the Istanbul range of cymbals.

Yamaha Drums, PHX shells (thick shells, gold hardware)

14x12 rack
10x7.5 rack
13x9 rack
16x15 floor tom (it looks like a 14 in the picture but surely it's a 16)
18x16 floor tom
20x16 gong drum
8x7 in between the 2 floor toms
14x5.5 JC signature snare
14x3? maple/birch side snare?

DW9000 pedals including a remote hi hat with a couple of roto tom frames on them (14" ontop 12"?)

Black LP jam block medium pitch
White LP Cowbell 9"

the paint scheme is gorgeous

love the cowbell, the 3 pedals, the little 8" tom back, remote hats back, [golden era shit!]

might try out that placement for remote hats

At the Houston show that Behringer Octaver would not turn off during Stand Inside Your Love and the outro chorus sounded like a farty mess

Looking at this drumset, on a scale of 1-11, how large would you say the drummer's ego is?

Jimmy has always used a huge kit and he uses the heck out of all of it. And if JC needs some positive affirmation let the man be. Maybe his kid wrote that on there.

I think the reverends look/sound alright but its still hard for me to get used to Billy not playing strats. Some other guitars of his Id love to see again:
- 70s jag with black block inlays
- Lonnie Mack Flying V with the bigsby on it
- any of his SGs
- gibson dove acoustic

i got to see him do TAFH live with the blue MCIS strat, feat a massive nut bend in the solo. was unreal

the reverends look really nice i think. JC's big kit rocks too, it's what you do in a rock band; the size of his kit pretty well correlates with how good the gigs are, it happens [in SP land]

I think he sold both of his Lonnie Macks in 2017. The last SG he broke out was his 1961 Special for Dross live. It was def cool seeing that.
