Default Request: Sacred + Profane Tour SBD Compilation

Hey, i've been looking for this all around, and can't find a link for a download, all the torrents are dead and the RSPAA don't have this anymore.

Could anyone be kind enough to re-upload it or just point me in the right direction?

much appreciated

The version on thepumpkins.net is only 128. Would anyone be so kind as to upload a higher quality copy?

What is the story behind The Sacred and Profane Tour Soundboard Compilation? Who made it? Who selected the songs? Where did the soundboard recordings come from? When did it appear?

I can't find this "bootleg" on spfc.org, so I assume it's fanmade.
But I vaguely remember a story about people making a compilation from audience recordings, and then the band found out and released the same compilation, but then sourced from the soundboard recordings.

I found this on http://www.ognetty.com/spboots.htm:
Quote:
For those lucky original 250 people who were included to receive copies of Billy's Gravity Demos I and Friends and Enemies of Modern Music, an additional cd of soundboard performances from several Sacred + Profane Tour shows was included. Billy requested that only good shows be put on this cd. )
Quote:
Awesome collection of tracks from three shows on the Sacred & Profane tour. This compilation was authorized by Billy Corgan and he requested that only good shows be used. A must have for any Pumpkins fan.
I assume this S+P Tour Compilation was spread (tree-wise?) together with the two bootlegs Billy gave away in April 2000 (Gravity and FAEOMM), but that the S+P Tour Compilation didn't come from Billy (because it says that Billy requested that only good shows would be used - if he made it himself, he wouldn't request such a thing).

lol. wtf. I thought it was common knowledge that Agnew made the comp from his own tapes.

lol. wtf. i didn't know! that's why i asked. i wasn't around back then. thanks for the info.

so agnew's tapes are different from the complete soundboard recordings that appeared later? or did someone apply some editing/mastering to the compilation? 'cause if i remember it correctly, they sound a bit different.

No, Agnew's tapes are not different. They are the same. In 2000, Agnew recorded 5/13, 5/14, 5/24, 9/18, 9/20, 9/21, 9/23, and 9/24 from the SBD. I have no idea if there was any editing or mastering for the compilation, but outside of say, normalization, I doubt there was.

Oh. I did not know that. I thought you were around longer.

Yes, actually it is

...and to answer your question: Yes, Agnew made those recordings and the compilation. He then tree'd it together with some other discs (I think FEOMM and Gravity Demos). I must still have a DAT copy of this somewhere...

you're quite welcome and thanks for asking. i'm sure many people are unaware of these facts while few will bother to dig for answers.

i did a comparison using Snail and the two are identical aside from normalization.

The cover art on ThePumpkins.net looks like a scan of a commercial boot, as opposed to fan-created artwork (esp. w/ the company name on the back bottom). So it's possible the bootleg company did some editing / mastering of their own.
