There are a lot of people who say it is absolutely true but have no evidence. Anonymous people on the internet have more than once told me some great stories about Billy that turned out to be bullshit.

So you're saying you are discrediting someone's information of an era that, by your own admission, you know nothing about.

Jimmy officially left the band in March 2009. The press release stated that Billy would be heading into the studio "in the spring" to record new Smashing Pumpkins songs. That being said, I have no doubt Billy and Jimmy probably jammed on some of those early TBK era songs. "A Song for a Son" and "Owata," which both ended up on TbK, were played in 2008.

Billy did rehearsals for new drummers around April 2009. I am not sure when Mike was chosen, but I remember in June 2009 Billy was talking about having found "the drummer of the future," and around this time people found social media posts were Mike talked about recording demos with Billy. I think it was August 2009 (right before Spirits in the Sky) where it was officially announced Mike was "recording with the band.
In September, he was officially named a member of the band.

Point is, dude's posts all add up. I don't know why you're doubting him so much, but as others have pointed out, I do not see any reality where someone pretending to have worked with Billy Corgan during one of the most unproductive eras of his career posts on a fairly untraveled corner of the internet to get attention.

Some other points...

-Have you ever been in a studio. There are extended periods of time where people may not be in a particular room. Even if the room was busy all day, it would not be hard to use a phone to snap pictures when other people were out of frame or listening to playback, or something similar.

-I sincerely doubt the "37 lbs." was meant to be taken literally. It was probably a ball park figure.

-Why didn't he mention Kerry's name? Probably because no one outside of die-hard Smashing Pumpkins fans would know who the heck Kerry is or how he's connected to Smashing Pumpkins.

This guys knows way to much causal stuff that all fit the time line to be faking it. He would have to be a pretty huge fan and hang out on here or the o-board to know this stuff and if he was one of us faking this he would have posted it here under a fake account.

Why would someone go onto the Something Awful boards and post there if he was trying to fool people.

Clearly just some guy who has some stories to tell.

And again he's following the pattern Billcos lawyers make everyone follow.
